- BBC THREE - 8pm - TOMORROW NIGHT - 29th October 2007 -
OH MY GOD…. hahahaha I was lucky
I was asked to come down and be on the show through my “MySpace” account which is pretty nice!
Had Tamara Beckwith cut my hair today in Celebrity Scissor Hands! ![]()

It was an all right job on my hair cut to be honest! Doesn’t really look any different to how it was before!
BUT OH MY GOD the guy’s hair she cut yesterday just before mine! I ONLY JUST saw it on TV…. She TOTALLY BUTCHERED HIM!!! HAHAHAHA
He had chunks missing! HAHAHAHA I guess I got a lucky escape!
CooL…… phew, If I’d have seen that before going I’ve have pulled out a no show lol!!!!!
Anyway I’m not sure how much of me they’ll show on the program as I just took the piss out of Tamara the whole time and had a good laugh.
Tamara was cool and it was good fun, and it was a good laugh, and hey it’s all for charity so why not…
Enjoy ![]()

+ Musical Memories By Ollie 12 September 2007 at 9:59 pm and have No Comments
How strange is it when you’ve not heard a song in years and really loved it at the time you first heard it, you listened to it loads and loads and then it just drifted out. This particular album for me at the moment is the “Eamon - I don’t want you back” album, I loved this album when it first came out but it didn’t get the best coverage due to the one hit song on the album which made it to number one “Eamon - F** It (I Don’t Want You Back)”, when listening to the album I miss this song out the playlist as it’s so, so, so overplayed, and probably the worst song on the album - the rest of the album is great!

[rate 4.0]
I remember listening to this album all the time before I went away to work in Greece for the first time and forgot to put it onto my Rio500 (my iPod back in the day) when I left back in 2004 so that’s why it just drifted out, but it’s so strange the feelings and memories I got when I listened to this album again today - WOW crazy - It was a good feeling though
a lot has happened since then…
Anyone else out there have some musical memories to share?

+ One New iPod Shuffle My Way Please! By Ollie 18 August 2007 at 9:32 pm and have 2 Comments
I decided it was time to get myself a new iPod as I’ve been hitting the gym everyday recently while applying for graduate jobs. The the battery on my old shuffle has died! It lasts about an hour at the best of times so…

I decided to invest in one of the brand new iPod Shuffle’s. I looked around on eBay and decided on getting a clone of the new iShuffle, why? Well mainly because it was cheaper but also because I wasn’t overly impressed with the official Apple iPod Shuffle I bought about a year ago. Ok it’s lasted a year, but I dont think thats worth the £60+ i paid for it!? It was ok, and did the job but I guess most mark up in price goes into the fancy packaging, and the image of the device. But who uses the packaging after the 1st day?! Another complaint about my older iPod shuffle was that I had to download a special program for it to work without iTunes?! And Apple complain about Microsoft! Pah! I hate the iTunes program trying to eat up my hard disk space and RAM, I am quite capable of managing my own music collection thank you very much!
Anyway after searching eBay I found a nice looking advert to get my iPod shuffle clone from, it was based in Hong Kong, and I ended up winning the bidding for - £4.99 + £9.99 postage! WOW CHEAP! I really wasn’t expecting a lot for my money with that price but it arrived today, just 4 days later and WOW!

It arrived this morning (Saturday) and I had a lazy lie in but fortunately the postman posted it through the door so I didn’t need to get my arse out of bed to sign for it!

Unfortunately the only thing that was a random selection in the auction was the choice in colour of “free sock” you get to store the iPod and… Yep I got pink! Hahaha out of the 6 random colours I got the pink! Oh well, just hope I don’t get any strange looks when packing the iPod away when in the gym.

Either way I got the full works for £14.98! It’s great the thing is TINY even though you see it in pictures on the internet it seems smaller when you actually get it. It doesn’t need iTunes to work, simply plug in your PC via USB and upload your tracks, brilliant! Its a small steel case and solid design comes with headphones and everything I need! Luckily I got to choose the colour of the iPod itself otherwise i’d look a bit odd with a pink one strapped to my shorts! It’s got a large 1GB memory which is more than enough for use in the gym. I use my w810i mobile phone as my walkman in the day! So the shuffle is ideal for gym use only.

Its playback is even better, clearer and louder than the older branded iPod shuffle! When you skip tracks it fades the last tune out quickly its a very smooth effect! It comes with the free Random colour sock as I said before, headphones, and USB to iPod cable. All in all it’s a great buy!

Another great thing with this iPod is I can lose the armband which I used to wear to hold my old iPod shuffle on my arm, instead I just clip this newer one on to my shorts a lot more comfortable when busting out those bicep curls ![]()
All in all a great buy! Want to get one for yourself? This is the place I bought mine:

+ Big Brother By Ollie 30 May 2007 at 8:42 pm and have No Comments
I’ve never really been into this but I had the idea of the concept of “Big Brother” for it for a while before it actually came out, I thought about something like that making people live in front of the cameras like many old computer games, and many old films.
I played a game on on the old Commador 64 called CAT MAD ahahaha it was like a 2D Big brother. I had the idea to run it as a TV show. Should have sold the idea to channel 4 way back then
Oh well…
I also think I read somewhere that Channel 4 have the rights to big brother for 14 years?! Maybe less, not sure. But my Idea would be… On the last series get in actors but channel 4 don’t tell the public and then they all have a huge fight, large sex orgies stuff like that, someone fakes a death it’d be crazy. Then at the end Channel 4 announce its a huge fake. I think that would be a great idea, slightly like the whole “war of the worlds” thing, but a modern version.

It’d show how many people live their lives by this sort of thing and blow it open so it’d also destroy the concept of it ever being real again so therefore maybe it’d be a good idea!
I think at least one series they’ll put in a fake an actor who’s told to do things but i think they may get the public in on it… not sure.
I think Davina Mccall is MASSIVELY over rated and over exposed. Not really very good, but seems to be loved by everyone? Why? She’s got better as its gone on and been shaped by the programme itself but to be fair she was awful from the start. And if you chuck anyone in from the start on it they could do it.
Right anyway thats my Big Brother rant over! Hahahaha
Feel free to comment.

+ Ebuyer - New PC with Windows VISTA By Ollie 29 May 2007 at 6:24 pm and have 5 Comments
After using eBuyer for many years doing self builds buying components and general bits and bobs from here - www.ebuyer.com. I decided it should all come to an end about 2 years ago when ebayer offered the Acer PC’s complete systems at such an amazing prices. Great builds which saved me hours of headaches and tinkering, simply plug and play and upgrade if required.

After reading the reviews on eBuyer and my old PC starting to slow down I decided it was time for me to upgrade. I bought this MAXDATA RIG here:
http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/cat/Home-PCs/subcat/Intel—Core-2-Duo
I was amazed by the price! A geat deal, the build quality is fantastic, also screwless sides to get into the pc itself. I really enjoy VISTA contrary to what a lot of people think its nice and smooth and looks great! I’m slightly concerned about security issues but am behind a hardware firewall on my router currently so thats slightly better.
I think there are a few compatibility issues with Vista, so I’ve heard (software) but I’ve not run into any of these yet. Everything opens instantly on clicking it and it’s a great PC!
I also bought a Point of View 7600GT PCI-E (Quick find code on ebuyer.com - 106578 it was on offer but now sold out) plugged it straight in and also an extra Gig of RAM (quick find code on ebuyer.com - 82244) installed these no problem, after my 1st boot. Quick tip the RAM is a bit of a tight squeeze behind the HDD but simple enough.
After getting this up and going I decided I wanted a bit more (always the case lol) so have now ordered another stick of RAM another HDD (Quick Find code on ebuyer.com - 94403) and a new 22 inch wide screen Samsung monitor.
After being out of the scene of building PC’s for a while and reading an Over Clocking article on my very processor at:
http://www.techspot.com/article/13-intel-core2duo-e6300-e6700-overclocking/page7.html
(Thanks to the guy who originally posted this on ebuyer.com in the reviews)
I realised this PC is capable of A LOT more! I am unsure if the BIOS is unlocked and capable of over clocking. But in the article they recommend DDR2 6400 RAM and I’d just bought myself what I thought was enough - DDR2 4200. Slightly annoyed at this and I guess I’ll have to replace ALL the RAM if I decide to go for an overclock. Maybe the powerpack too? Please let me know! Post a comment!
I know this question has been asked before but has anyone tried the overclock on this RIG with the standard DDR2 4200 533mhz RAM?
I’m going to post pictures of my finished rig in the next couple of days so keep a look out, also going to have the 22″ Samsung Monitor soon too and will try “dual screening” it with my current 19″ Neovo monitor Should be fun and well worth a look.
Feel free to comment.
Cheers!
+ “Don’t You Wish Your Blog Was Hot Like Mine” By Ollie 19 May 2007 at 1:50 pm and have 1 Comment
Yesterday I ran a Google search for “Ollysblog” to check my ranking and see what else was coming up. Recently I’ve had some references and also some reviews which has all been very exciting, but when I searched it yesterday this came up, please read it, it’s funny:
(*quick tip - if you want to buy something for money you “BUY” it, but if you want it doing for a certain time then - when can I get this done “BY” - BY the way that info is free.)
So basically this person wants a site like mine! In that case why not ask ME!?!? I mean, I made it! Or is this person trying to CHEAT at university?! Hmmmm…
Well either way to ask for it to be done for $50 - $100 - Hahaha, i’d laugh you out of my site, I am offended that my work may only be worth that. But to I suppose the justification for its low price this is that it is going spoil it with shitty boring cricket images slapped allover it! Which in turn will make it much, much less popular!
Oh well good luck with that - Oh and if you want me to do it, as you’ve not asked me 1st it’ll cost £1000 per page ![]()
+ Evaluation/Conclusion By Ollie 18 May 2007 at 12:53 pm and have No Comments
I really enjoyed this project and feel that it shows how I have excelled within Multimedia Communication and Design.
I feel that I have been able to create a full advertising campaign for my website as strong as any graphic designer as well as develop a fully functioning website with animations and Adobe flash content.
I have showcased my flash skills on the website and within the banners I created as well as the header of the site itself.
I have also created a CD that will run as a promotional tool for the website as my 3rd Artifact.
I achieved my goals I set out within my project brief, I am slightly disappointed that I couldn’t get the website to be a fully functioning with the database but as I explained that is more of a computer programmers field than a multimedia designer although I wish to go on from here and learn PHP and SQL database design. I think it also makes my project stronger as it showcases a cross field such as graphic design as well as web design.
